Letter Home

 

Hey, blogger's I'm back with another post about the ANZAC war but it is a letter home from when you are at war and you send a letter home, and so that's what I have been doing. So during literacy, we have been learning about the war and we decided to make a letter like someone at war would send home to their loved ones, And that's what our literacy group has been doing so I'm going to post that. So tell me if you have learned anything about the war? or if you know about the war and comment and tell me?, And do you want to know a fact, Did you know that the ANZACS had a dog name Ceasar that went to war with them And saved hundreds of peoples lives. Anzac

 Hi guys I'm back with another post and today we have been learning about the Anzac. we have Been Making a canva on information about the Anzac. we have been writing about. the weapons that they used what they had to wear, And their medals, And symbols, and other stuff like that, And how many people died on each day. So hi bloggers I'm back with another post it is about my scratch that i have made but i haven't posted it because i could not get the link. So we have been learning about moari and we were asking what is the weather today in moari. Storyboard that Refugees

For literacy, we have been reading Refugee by Alan Gratz.   We looked at the main character and picked 3 words to describe them.  I picked brave

For our create task, we had to use Storyboard, and pick one of our describing words to storyboard.  We needed to think about what happened just before that scene, and just after and how we could show emotion in our character's face.

I decided to pick brave  I showed this through when the Turkish man smuggles them to turkey.

Anzac Cove landing by the ANZACS

 

In literacy, at the moment we are learning about WW1 and in particular, the role the ANZACS played in it.

We know that the ANZACS landed at ANZAC cove on April 25th, 1915.  They arrived by boat, and were greeted by a beach that was in chaos, steep, rugged cliffs and the Turks firing at them from the top of the cliffs.

Many men lost their lives that day, many never made it to the beach.  The ones that did were about to start a long journey filled with tears, despair, and sadness.

This animation is to show the landing at ANZAC Cove.

This was really fun and interesting cause I got to learn about the history of Waitangi and the treaty. And how they took over a lot of land.
